FARMINGTON – TWO DAY 10/14/25 & 10/15/25 Mitsubishi MXZ SM Essentials Class

This course provides an in-depth discussion of the techniques associated with installing SMART MULTI systems. Instruction focuses on the best practices, limitations, and manufacturer’s requirements as they pertain to wiring, addressing, refrigerant piping, and equipment installation. Hands-on experience building systems using Diamond System Builder™ design software offers participants insights and requirements for Mitsubishi Electric’s warranty process and the steps to register products once they have been installed. The concepts of integration and centralized control are discussed as well as the proper steps for system start-up. An in-depth functional examination
of system operation including both the electrical and refrigerant circuits is covered along with the resources, and techniques to diagnose and troubleshoot SMART MULTI systems. Practical hands-on exercises to identify faults and repair select units reinforce the concepts covered.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

• Review the S-Series nomenclature and system components
• Identify and discuss the concepts of wiring and addressing of system components
• Explain the installation process including the location and function of DIP switches and jumper settings
• Use Use Diamond System Builder to modify, layout, and select specifications for a SMART MULTI system application
• Explain the SMART MULTI start-up process and Test Run via Maintenance Tool
• Identify and discuss the extended warranty terms and submittal procedure
• Explain the settings and networking required to setup centralized control
• Discuss start-up faults and their resolution
• Identify and discuss preventive maintenance tasks and the use of Maintenance Tool for system monitoring
• Discuss electrical operation and refrigerant flow paths
• Use Maintenance Tool to locate the key data points for monitoring equipment
• Resolve fault and error codes

Two Day Class – Tuesday, October 14 & Wednesday, October 15, 2025 8:30AM – 4:30PM both days
Class qualifies for 16 NATE approved hours
