The $138 Million upgrade
under the new owner Tom
Gores
is not just cosmetic,
but also mechanical. Awarded to customer L J Rolls we are happy to be a
part of this huge remodel. Pictured (below right) is Jim Rolls our customer and on the right is
Paul Lang who worked with him on this job. The units at the Palace totaled 1,440 nominal tons,
all D/X units.(4) 160 nominal ton units &(4) 200 nominal ton units. We were fortunate that the
old units originally installed were custom Bohn units and were able to match the foot print exact.
The units we sold are using R-407C and all the mineral oil will have to be removed and changed
to polyester oil. The first half of the stadium is already getting ready for equipment lift Saturday,
September 1st replacing 4 units (720 nominal tons), when they get this equipment started (mid
October) they will remove and install the balance of the units. All the new units are refrigeration
grade with over sized receivers and removable core type catch-alls.
