SUMMARY:FARMINGTON - 4/14/26 Rheem AC & Heat Pump Service and Diagnostics
DESCRIPTION:This is a heat pump service class\, however before we can get into service it’s important that we discuss the sequence of operation in the cooling\, heating and defrost modes\, we must understand how it is supposed to operate before we can decide that it is not operating correctly. We also need to review start up\, charging and airflow because how a heat pump functions is dependent on the unit having the correct charge and airflow. Next\, we will discuss components\, their failure modes and proper diagnosis and service procedures. We will also spend a lot of time learning to troubleshoot the refrigeration circuit to determine if the unit has low airflow\, high load conditions\, overcharge or undercharge by looking at the superheat and subcooling. Lastly\, we will work through some interactive service exercises pertaining to outdoor fan motor troubleshooting\, compressor troubleshooting\, troubleshooting charge issues\, refrigerant circuit trouble shooting unit in cooling mode and refrigeration circuit troubleshooting unit in heating mode. \nTuesday\, April 14\, 2026 8AM – 2PM\nInstructed by – Larry Marhofer and Dave Fletcher \n\n\n \n \n FARMINGTON 4/14/26 - Rheem's AC & Heat Pump Service and Diagnostics\n \n \n Participant InformationCompany Name*Phone*Phone number will be used to contact you in the event of last minute changes to class.
